Domaine de la Pépière is a top estate in the Muscadet, making certified organic wines with extended lees aging, and as minimal intervention as possible – all of which are rare in the region.

The ‘Gorges’ cru is located in the heart of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, a renowned parcel of the Loire Valley on the central western coast.

Made up of gabbro, an igneous rock, the soils are also characterized by the presence of quartz clay, which holds a stable supply of water even in dry summers.

The fruit is from 50+ year old vines that were direct pressed, then fermented and aged in large, glass-lined underground vats for three and a half years.
