Official Rules & Regulations

1. Sponsor

This contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Darby’s Liquor Store (“Sponsor”). 

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open only to legal residents of the City of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, who are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, representatives, or agents of the Sponsor, its affiliates, and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate. 

3. Contest Period

The Contest runs monthly with the first draw starting in October 2025 and ending in April 2026. Each monthly draw will be conducted by the fourth (4th) day of the month for the previous month’s entries. The exact date may fluctuate depending on various operational factors. 

4. How to Enter

To qualify, your entry must be received in the month prior to the draw date.

  • Automatic Entry with Purchase: Every online purchase made at darbysliquorstore.com counts as one (1) entry. Limit: one (1) entry per person per day, regardless of the number of purchases made.
  • No Purchase Necessary: To enter without making a purchase, send a letter containing your full name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and age to:

    The email address provided must be associated with a registered account at darbysliquorstore.com (registration is free). Entries will be counted based on the date they are received, not the postmarked date.
    The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, or illegible entries, nor for any disruption in mail services for any reason. Limit: one (1) entry per mailing address per day.      

5. Prize

Each monthly winner will receive two (2) tickets to a Vancouver hockey home game. The approximate retail value (ARV) of each prize will vary depending on the game date and seat location. Tickets have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not for resale. 

6. Winner Selection

One (1) potential winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received in the preceding month. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

The potential winner will be contacted by the Sponsor via the contact information provided. If the potential winner does not respond within 24 hours, the Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify the entry and select an alternate potential winner.

To be declared a winner, the potential winner must:

  1. Confirm that the winner is a resident in the City of Vancouver;
  2. Correctly answer a skill-testing mathematical question within a prescribed time limit;
  3. Sign and return a Declaration of Compliance, Indemnity, and Publicity Release Form, which may include:
    • A release of liability and indemnification in favour of the Sponsor and its affiliates;
    • Consent, where lawful, to the use of their name, city, likeness, and statements for publicity purposes without further compensation;
    • Any other documents the Sponsor may reasonably require in connection with the administration of the Contest.

Failure to meet any of these conditions may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

7. General Conditions

  • All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
  • The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest at any time without notice.
  • The Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, or incomplete entries.
  • The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
